Headphone Type

Headphones are the media through which sound is delivered from speakers to ears.

Types

Ear Bud Headphones: These headphones fit inside the ear.

In Ear Monitors (IEM): These headphones seal the ear with a rubber tip.

Neckband (Street Style): These headphones feature a band that fits around the back of the neck, rather than around the head.

Ear Pad Headphones: These headphones feature earpieces that do not encircle the entire ear.

Full Size Headphones: These headphones feature an ear cup which surrounds the entire ear, and come in two formats: sealed or open.

Noise Canceling Headphones: These headphones isolate the ear from outside noise by operating on a microphone inside the earpiece which picks up and reduces outside sound.

Wireless Headphones: These headphones operate without the traditional wires or cords of other headphones.
