On a tight budget? You don't have to settle for a "brand X" TV not when you can pick up Sony's no-nonsense KDL-40BX450 at a price this low. It's lean on features, but it delivers a dependably crisp, clear 1080p picture. To keep the cost down, Sony left out technologies like blur reduction, which doesn't benefit 40" screens as much as larger ones. This set has two HDMI inputs so you can hook up a couple of high-def sources. A USB port makes it easy to share your photos on a big screen, or listen to your favorite tunes.
