DefinEdge™ Image Enhancement adds further crispness to the picture, while a ColorTuned™ Diamond Shield™ provides screen protection and enhanced picture contrast. Diamond Vision® precision optical system with MicroFine™ Phosphor CRTs provide a sharp, clear picture, and High-Speed Velocity Scan Modulation offer even more precise CRT scanning. You can even turn the Velocity Modulation Scanning off if you wish and save that setting for each input. You also get to choose from seven picture format modes. Five of them adjust the shape of standard, letterbox and ultra widescreen pictures to fit the screen. There are two additional format modes for HDTV images, one for true HDTV broadcasts, and another to expand the picture to remove the borders sometimes inserted by broadcasters. Auto Film Mode automatically selects 3:2 pulldown compensation when needed. The Advanced Multi-Image Display provides the ability to combine any two inputs as PIP or Split Screen images. Those images can also be from progressive scan DVD players and HDTV receivers.
