Ignored the reviews and got this toaster anyway. Low price, looked like it had the features I wanted, and made by a name brand. Have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised. This thing is well made, easy to use, and cooks toast evenly. Reminds me of the toaster my Mom owned, way back when, but with latest features. Hers, lasted forever, and this one beats the heck out of hers in the cooking department. The brackets that center the bread work better than most similar toasters I have used. Cooks evenly, with enough power to pick your color, white to black.
Some nice features. Funny, nobody mentioned there is a switch that let's you cook with only one slot when you have one piece of toast, turning the unused slot off. Duh, that's a great idea. The buttons are well placed and easy to use. The crumbs are funneled into a snug fitting removable tray, so they are not all over the place.
