Description

The Client Agent is a service installed on the network client machine to help ARCserve retrieve and send data to and from the workstation (or server), improve data transfer, and provide network security, job monitoring, real time directory browsing, and cross platform backup support. The Client Agent contains separate internal client engines that help reduce the resource-intensive processes for the ARCserve host. It is a "go-between" that allows ARCserve to efficiently back up machines running various operating systems.
