If you currently have a MXRC, HXRT, FXRT or FXRC canister filter, this adapter can be used to adapt your refrigerator to the GWf filter. This adapter and the GWF filter will require more room (about 1-2 inches) than your existing filter. If your top shelf is positioned very high, you may want to purchase the MXRC instead of converting.
