Don't buy this unit unless you can repair it yourself. A summary of my experience: February 2007-Purchased wine cellar (model #HDC36SS, $423.80) from Home Depot (this is the Franklin wine cooler FWC36, made for Home Depot under the Everstar brand name). 8/12/07-Unit stopped working (well within the 1-yr warranty). 8/13/07-Called Everstar (aka Franklin Industries, LLC, aka Franklin Chef, aka Betty Crocker) for service. 8/20/07-Technician of their choosing came; said cellar had a freon restriction in the heat exchanger and was nonrepairable. 8/21/07-Called Everstar; spoke with two customer service representatives; both customer service representatives said would pick up old unit in 7-21 days; asked for refund; emailed their form and purchase receipt to Everstar; received email confirming receipt; left message with customer service manager (she never called back).
